I felt quite similarly when having to read that play for ENGL220 - Introduction to William Shakespeare. Thankfully, the exam on that play was painstakingly easy because even the professor had trouble following all that was going on.

I took a Shakespeare class in college, this play never came up, seems more like "Advanced Shakespeare Studies" than Intro material ;-)

Man...I wish I had my professor's email address, I'd send her a "WTF?" note about it haha

It does, but my prof's whole point of the class was to expose us to "Shakespeare that we'd never read before". We didn't do Romeo & Juliet, Macbeth, Hamlet, etc. I don't have the syllabus anymore so I can't remember all of the plays we did do; I think the only "mainstream", as the prof called it, Shakespeare work we did was A Midsummer Night's Dream.
