Actually read not-a-graphic novel this month! It was a collection of scary stories for kids, but still. YAY!

The whole time I was reading it I was like "OMG this is a kids book, why am I so terrified??" but honestly, some stuff is just spooky, doesn't matter how old you are. Good, creepy writing is good creepy writing!

Wasn't it weird to read the book about the Spanish Flu?

YES! It was SURREAL honestly, because some of the text from that book, the quotes from people, could have been from today and it is just ridiculous that clearly we suck at learning from history. :\

I got yelled at by the sushi guy for not putting soy sauce on my sushi once. I didn't go back to that restaurant.

LOL I've never had that happen before, but I could see it happening somewhere with an uptight sushi chef.

I've put a hold on the Don't Turn Out the Lights book at my library. It looks so fun!

Timely pandemic read. I hate that a virus has been politicized. Viruses don't care who you vote for, they'll kill everyone if those in charge make stupid policies. :(

I hope you enjoy 'Don't Turn Out the Lights' it is a perfect Halloween read!

It's just crazy how much this pandemic has so many parallels to the 1918 pandemic...just eerie.

Pre-pandemic I'd have said we would have done better because we have so much more science knowledge but now... it's not the information that's the issue, it's the people. If people just behaved better we might not be done this but we'd all be doing much better.

My city is about to go back to stage 2 of the shut down which is LONG overdue but we're leaving schools open and I didn't see any rules about business buildings so we'll see how that all goes.

We are in "phase 3" apparently but the definition of "phase 3" keeps changing and our Gov. had been doing a really good job and then suddenly started passing the buck to the local politicians so now my county exec is trying to keep things controlled and people are attacking him for it. :(
