Books read in October

Not going to lie, I have become addicted to Dr. Mario on the iPhone and sometimes I crawl into bed, when it is supposed to be reading time, and instead I end up playing a few rounds. It's a problem, I know. Definitely ate into my reading time this month.

Magic for Liars was great. Definitely a Harry Potter vibe. I'm surprised there aren't tons of magic school stories around.

I had that same problem for months! Candy Crush for me. It also helped put me to sleep, so I kept playing it instead of reading. Luckily eventually I hit a level that was impossible to beat without spending RL money, and it's what got me to stop playing.

Now I play a different game before I sleep...

Edit: Oops, hit enter too soon. I was also going to mention that I have The Institute on my Kindle. I happen to be reading something else by him right now, a collection of short stories. I'm just barely into the first one, hoping it hooks me soon.

I do like King's short stories. I'm reading his son's collection right now and hooboy, is writing style hereditary because Hill sounds *just* like his Dad.

What game are you playing now? Fess up!

Huh! I didn't know his son was writing. Makes sense. Cool and interesting that he sounds like his father!

I'm playing Jurassic World Alive now. It's like Pokemon Go, but with dinosaurs and much much better gameplay. A really great time killer! (Too good...)

I read The INstitute too. I do agree, he writes children much more mature than they probably are, but they are his strong books.

Yeah, I came for he horror and supernatural vibes, so I can't be too upset if they don't sound like real kids. It would probably be TOO upsetting if they did!
