ridiculous things I think about - Holiday edition

LJ/DW are dead they say...then why did it just take me 2 hours to catch up on ya'll's posts??????

Clearly those people are not following the right people, knowwhatI'msaying?

Geeky activity for the week: Trying to pin point what date it is (in the show's universe) when the Holiday/Christmas themed episodes happen.

For example, I know that the ( Read more... )

LOL yeah, I think the same thing sometimes about LJ since if I'm gone for too long it takes me a while to catch up with my Friends List.

I don't have as many as Christmas holiday favorite episodes as I do Thanksgiving ones (those are mostly the FriendsThanksgiving episodes.) The ones I do like I don't necessarily watch every year. I watch more holiday movies. I do often watch a few Friends winter holiday episodes - The One with Phoebe's Dad and The One With the Holiday Armadillo. I like Married...With Children's You Better Watch Out and It's a Bundyful Life. I like all the Bob's Burgers Christmas episodes. There are a couple of The Mindy Project Christmas episodes I do watch mostly every year - Josh and Mindy's Christmas Party and Christmas Party Sex Trap.

LOL I watched the first disc of 'Fellowship' on Friday. It is because we had 4 years in a row of LotR right around the holidays! FotR, TT, RotK and then the next Christmas was the DVD release. So it was like I was rewatching them that time of year anyway and now I CRAVE them!

I usually get through FotR and TT in Nov/Dec and then in January I watch RotK. They are just so damn good, I *still* notice things in my rewatches!

Not so much Harry Potter. I used to be a casual fan but I'm kind of meh about the whole thing now and the 7th book made me so upset that it was hard to go back and watch them again. 'Azkaban' is the one I can't walk by if it is on TV.

I think there are a bunch of us that miss having actual discussions about fandom. Tumblr is fine for throwing around memes and images, but if you want to actually talk, the threaded comments of LJ/DW are the only way to go.

I always watch the XF "How the Ghosts Stole Christmas" on Christmas Eve. Probably been a tradition for me for about 15 years now, but it's the only one that I've kept. Every year I think I'd like to put together a longer list of holiday-themed episodes. Maybe this year.

I had forgotten that X-Files had any Christmas themed episodes but Googling for an image, I recognize some of the screenshots. 1998...I would have still been pretty hardcore into the show then...

YES MAKE A LIST :D
