**Finally** watched the last episode of "Haunting of Hill House" on Netflix. I loved it. It was my kind of spooky story. Just spooky enough to give me the heebie-jeebies but compelling enough to make me want to keep watching

I have not, though talking to a friend about the show the other night, he said they have pretty much nothing in common from the sound of it. I'm on the wait list at the library, but since it is such an old but we only had 3 active copies LOL. We have an emergency order in for more, but as I am number 61 on the list, it might be awhile.
You know, I didn't think it was spooky. That said, they sure made sure that every single jump scare counted because they all got me lol! I thought it was a good show. It was a slow burn, which I think a lot of people weren't expecting, but it was good.
There shouldn't be a second season. That said, if there is, I want it to be a whole new haunting with a whole new cast of characters. It would be weird given that it's called The Haunting of Hill House but it'd work way way better than if we got a second season following the same characters. The story was pretty wrapped up at the end. There's no need to continue with them and Hill House LOL. It'd def be the AHS treatment except you actually get answers and not a crappy season finale :P
Yeah, I really liked the structure of the show, that it was just a family drama with a dash of ghosts and up until the last few episodes, I wasn't actually sure if it *was* going to be about ghosts or just that they were all insane from the mold!
They could make new seasons based on the totally fictitious books that Steve was writing LOL
I concluded early on that there really were ghosts, but that everyone was in a different stage of denial about it lol. It was def more of a family drama than anything though. It was a family drama but with ghosts. I loved it.
I was worried that would be the ending, the whole Sixth Sense twist so I'm glad it wasn't. I felt like the finale worked really well, I can't really think of a better way to end it except for a super-mega-downer ending and I'm glad it was not that LOL
Definitely worth going back to, especially since I'm sure the amount of spoilers floating around will only increase.
Yes, he is very pretty, though I used to laugh at him because for awhile he must have had the best agent ever because I swear EVERY MOVIE/SHOW he was in, he got to have a sex scene with the lead - GoT, Wild, Orphan Black...I was like "Is this part of his contract??"
I still haven't seen the Avengers movie either, I mean it is almost 3 hours, that is 3 episodes of something good I could watch rather than 3 hours of a mediocre superhero movie LOL. To make it worse, I won a free digital copy, so I own it, so there is no due date so...I will never watch it. I think I actually sought out spoilers after awhile because I just don't care anymore.
LOL see now you need to watch so we can discuss!!! One of my horror aficionado friends RAVED about it, in fact she is the one that convinced me to watch it.
I really enjoyed the show. I did find it a bit too scary at times, but I scare real easily. But I loved the family and their story as children and adults just drew me in. The cast was great. I didn't see the twist coming, but I found it a good one, and yes of course they are not all in the red room now, they are safe and sound :D
I didn't think the last episode creeped me out...until about 3 am last night when I was lying in bed and the cold outside and the heat going inside made everything sound like it was creaking!!!!!
EXACTLY! That is the reason I gave up on American Horror Story because they became obsessed with grossing me out rather than giving me a good scary story.
Hm...I'm not sure I *want* that as a second season. I feel like the House's story is done too...but who knows, I've been surprised before!

They're supposed to make a second season, with a different group in the house, so we'll see if they can keep it up.
