Having lived in New York myself, I'm biased...BUT...NYC is very expensive!!! Do you have a car? If so, I would go to Chicago, because, I cannot imagine driving around NYC. Would you live in NYC or somewhere around it>

Of course I think you should move to NYC, cuz then you'd be $10-bus-ticket close!

Mostly it's about income opportunities. You'll need first, last and security for an apartment that will at best cost you 1500/month for a 2-bedroom.
