I found out yesterday that i was awarded the Cleveland Arts prize as an emerging artist! woo hooo!

now i just have to finish my darn paintings for the moca show and maybe i can rejoin the world!

:D thanks! I believe the moca show opens june 5th. I'm in a group show called "there goes the neighborhood"

how is school winding down for you? any more performances? i wish i could get out more often!

I have one week of classes left and then finals...then I'm DONE!!! ~8D

My senior recital is June 20th at 7:30. Otherwise, Missile Command is playing on May 22nd at the Phantasy! Maybe you can make it to one of those?

Yay for you winning a prize!! But lol at poky Cleveland...I'd say when one's works have appeared in Time and on a Neko Case album sleeve, one has already "emerged"!

whoops didnt see this! well, i guess the emerging category is sort of subtitled "under 40" so i guess i have about 7 more years of emerging to go! sounds exhausting!

Sounds like the "Young Lawyers Division" of the ABA, except they stick everyone with under 5 years since first bar passage in that division even if you're 50 when you pass the bar. Always makes me wonder if everyone else is in the "Old Lawyers Division". So you have 7 more years left of "Emergency", LOL.
