I'm reading "The Return of Captain John Emmett" now. Some of the fictional characters are WWI poets, but every now and then mention of a real poet comes up. One of the characters supposedly knew Sassoon, and didn't like him.
The novel mentions a magazine called "Constellations," published by an officer while at war. All of the poets published under pseudonyms to avoid prosecution for anti-war sentiments. Did such a thing really exist? I assume the title is false, but the possibility that a similar publication existed feels real.
