Kara nodded at the note even though no one could see. She touched the necklace that was her contact to Oracle, and she slipped into her costume Aunt Martha had made for her. Sure, it wasn't until tomorrow night, but better to be ready, right?

She read and re-read the note with Catalina's location, and kept thinking in her head how it would happen. What would happen. Who would be there.

How Dick would probably hate her once he found out and she just didn't care.

She went about her normal routine on her birthday, and then at 9 sharp, she was waiting for Catalina -- and any others -- to show up. After talking with Slade, she figured he'd be a no-brainer.

I could kill her with my heat vision before anyone else got here, she thought to herself, then sighed. No, Slade was right. They needed to be a little more cautious.

So, Kara waited.

Joe looked at the map, read the note. All he really wanted was for Catalina to understand just how badly she had hurt his friend. He wanted her to know fear, but he was afraid the others wanted far more than that. He'd go, in vain hope of reining that impulse in, or else his hands would be as red with blood as whichever one did give in to their anger and kill her.

Rose had gotten the note. For Dick's sake, she wouldn't kill the miserable bitch. No, she'd do worse. She'd learned a lot from her father's doppelganger, including how to prolong someone's agony far past the point that they should have passed out or died, how to keep them in this world as they begged for release. Well, she wasn't going to get that release. Not from her.
