Life is made up of random numbers, and all we may do is try and load the dice by our own machinations.

'Cept even when you load the dice in your favor, someone else is loading their own dice and their loaded dice sometimes wins out over your loaded dice. Or something else happens and really screws stuff up. Either way, the world is still crazy.
