I called the dealership to check on my car. He said that they'd reset the idle and that he car was running fine for them. Sooo...I called Samantha. We drove to pick up the car. I'd not driven 3 miles when the car started acting up again. Same thing. Drove it back to the dealership and went back out on the road with the mechanic(who I found out was ( Read more... )

Hey bro - I know you guys are frustrated with all this. You have to be able to rely on each other when times are tough. That's what real relationships are about. Obviously I'm not telling you anything you don't know. It's perfectly reasonable to accept help from your wife - without all that self-loathing. It's called marriage and it can be guilt free!!!

Maybe you should think about practicing driving stick shift in the driveway so she doesn't have to take you back and forth. I'm sure you can do it. Sixteen year old's learn how to drive stick every day. You're worth any ten of them put together.

Arrrrrg! There's nothing worse than a fault that comes and goes, and seems to disappear when the people you want to fix it are there! I hope they spot the problem and get it fixed.

I'm sure Samantha doesn't mind. Marriage is a partnership. And it's not like this is happening because you want it to.
