Team behind Hogfather currently filming TV version of The Colour Of Magic.I have to say, I officially Slightly Disapprove of David Jason playing Rincewind. He was an excellent Alfred (even if he did bogart the publicity material that really belonged to Susan), and I don't think it's very fair he should get to play two parts, and he doesn't look ( Read more... )

I guess the essential aspect of Twoflower in CoM is that he's a wide-eyed innocent tourist. Sean Astin will do this well, and the American Tourist is as much a stereotype as the Japanese Tourist. Course, it means they can't make Interesting Times. But I doubt they're thinking that far ahead...

David Jason is giving them money and publicity. He attracts viewers. I can understand *why* they want him. I wouldn't, but hey.
Fantasy casting for Rincewind? Richard E. Grant, maybe? I can see Idle would be good, tho.
