I feel like today has been my first day in a while of coming home from work and not rushing out to get on a tube or a bus and go and Do Things.
This is probably not true. For one thing, I did things after work today, although it was shopping and we went in the car so it doesn't really count (I have new jeans and a nice top and an £89 bra two

at some point earlier in the year I stole a pair of Helen's ruined army boots (i.e. 2 face sized pieces of nice leather in a soft black). I was intending to make a mask out of it, but have so far failed to have motivation. Shall I try to see how far I could go to recreating one of these for you?

Oo. That's a lovely offer, and I would totally take you up on it for next year if you discover that it's a thing you want to keep doing, but Jessie and I found the Venetian one of her dreams yesterday so I am having one to match. Which means that after I've bought her her Christmas present all we've really got to find is a lyre and a snake and we're all set.

... you haven't happened to see a lyre in a fancy dress shop recently have you?
