I have to agree with kensan_oni here -- welcome to the life of an artist!
There are actually a fair amount of options for photographers, but none of them are glamorous, even down here in the lower 48. Wedding pictures, school photos, working the photography studio at your local Sears/Walmart/JCPenney. You could also talk to your local newspaper about freelancing (newspaper photographers generally don't leave unless they're fired, they retire, or they die). It's the situation of being an artist: getting a job to hold off the bills, then in your off hours doing what you love. If you play your cards right, the latter can become the former, but it's a usually a long haul from one to the other.
I'd agree with the MFA thought, but I think graduate schools are kind of overrun with folks who can't get jobs so they go back to school. Same with vocational schools.
Still, look at the bright side: you have a BA. That advances you to receptionist-level employment -- far above those of us who only have AA degrees.
