Honestly? I don't think the thought even occurred to her until after she talked with Damon and realized all the people around her are willing to risk themselves for her (and well, Damon's willing to risk everyone and she knows how Damon is) and she just... got tired of it, so she went to go fetch Elijah because, sure, he's a wild card, but generally wants the same things she does and she can always cut a deal with him and she knows he'll keep his word because he's proven that time and time again (attacking people she cared about notwithstanding, that was the fault of Damon and Alaric pissing him off, tbh). I really like the Elena/Elijah dynamic, too! And yeah, they're mutually fascinated, but it doesn't really come from a romantic/sexual place, but more from a place of curiosity than anything *totally wrote that fic*

I HAVE SO MANY THOUGHTS. I will perhaps write an entry about it today once I've slept more (insomnia: it's not fun). BUT SO MANY THOUGHT. Lucrezia is my favorite, she's so lovely *snuggles her*

I'm so worried about Tyler coming back because I'm really terrified they're either going to bring him back completely changed (and he'll be ~dark and edgey~) or they're bringing him back to die (in which, that case, I'm okay with him not coming back, really, at least then I'll have all the AUs I want).

LOL! I feel like that sometimes. I literally have my friend preview most of my long rambly posts to make sure they're at least coherent.

Well, the ~edgy thing comes from how they sent Bonnie away to her cousin's in S1 and she came all badass and in control of her powers and we missed out on a ton of her development (and started the trend of putting Bonnie's development off-screen, which makes it really hard to understand her if you don't think about her motivations), and I'm worried that's what they're doing with Tyler because they just don't want to deal with it. And yeah, they have been doing that and that's what makes me even more worried :| (I'm also really sad about Isobel, why show why?)

Well, I like when you drag me away to watch Doctor Who! But yes, us watching Doctor Who made my books be delivered :P I don't think I find the weeping angels as terrifying as everyone else does. I MEAN, THEY ARE SCARY. But I think I am perhaps desensitized to terrifying things.

(i.e. Alaric/Elena: I can’t get behind it because he’s her teacher, plus at home he’s almost like a step-father, so it gives off this sketchy step-father preying on the teenage step-daughter vibes and it’s just squicks me out. Also, he was married to her mother, is sleeping with her guardian!aunt, which is bad and complicated enough, and I just don’t think Alaric is the type of person to act like that, it just doesn’t seem in-line with his characterization).

They really haven't and their scenes last night were probably my favorites. I LOVE THEM A LOT. I'm not sure when I began to ship them so much.
