I decided to cut my losses with a friendship that has caused me heartache and sadness recently. Sometimes I just have to take a hint and preserve my own energy.

And, in the name of preserving comfort zones, [both of ours] I am doing a friends list cleaning today.

i'm sorry that you had to end your friendship, but if in the long run it was causing you heartache, you're better off without that person.
