I have a feeling with The Borgias just having come out, we'll be seeing far more Italians at the local renaissance faires.

I totally agree. I've already seen an increased interest in early Renaissance style, and even my hard-core computer nerd friends now wanna read about the Borgias, the Vatican and whatnot. I suddenly understood why. Assassin's Creed. It's all about the Borgias and Rome, and fairly historical accurate, despite some anachronism. Kinda cool.
