90% of Venice (obviously not the buildings, but the ground level) is currently under water. How horrible. I can't imagine what kind of damages this will create. And the situation for the inhabitants is made worse by some of the vaporetti - bus-boats - being on strike. The water level is decreasing, but wind and weather might make the situation

That was a lot of water!

Aqua Alta at 1.56m. Usually it's "just" 90-120cm, therefore not even the mobile Gangways are off the water level. Horrible.

That's dreadful. That poor city - so many things threatening it.
