The response was overwhelming, so welcome one and all to the Open Vein Writing Summer Fic Challenge! We had a fairly even distribution of opinions on how long everyone wanted the Comment Party to last, so we've figured out a solution for everyone. All summer, through the end of August, each month, will host it's own separate comment party

Adryana hadn’t planned to come back to Salt Lake

She hadn’t planned to come back to Salt Lake. To be dropping her two army-issue duffels that were covered in patches onto the floor of the bedroom in an apartment she was now sharing with another one of the company members. But the view from the reconstructed factory apartment wasn’t terrible, and there was a movie theater about two minutes away. “Most of the building is actors,” her new roommate was saying. Her name was Alexis and she had the look of a recently rescued valley suburban girl. Her blonde hair was cropped short and dyed pink and her t-shirt was of a pink, purple, and blue unicorn with the caption “Real AF.” Adryana could tell they would get along just fine. “And it just opened too, so it’s got all the first year problems. We ended up outside three times last week when the building smoke alarms went off
