Today I got a FedEx envelope from Italy. In it was a bribe carefully disguised as my mother's will. I don't know whether to be angry or feel sorry for her. But I think right now I'm hovering somewhere in the middle

Could she possibly want to apologize in person?

Could it possibly happen? Sure. But my mother has never apologized for anything in her life. Maybe facing her mortality has changed her. But the last time she faced her mortality she wasn't exactly filled with remorse or regret, so I wouldn't put money on her changing now.
