My Dad managed to live to one day short of 91. His wake was on his birthday so I gave him the birthday party I promised at the funeral home. We had those big number balloons #91 and more balloons. After all, you can't have a party w/o them. Then I brought many of his trinkets to the wake to have people take home as "favors". He collected clocks of all sizes and cigarett lighters (he didn't smoke, my Mom did) and we created four collages filled with photos of him, my Mom and all of us thorough the years. It really like we were celebrating him. I know he would have been disappointed had we not had the party for him. And of course, we had his big luncheon. He would have had such a big smile on his face (the old grump). Sorry you had to lose your Dad. I know how it feels.
