I'm really sorry. Genuinely. It's astounding how much "the internet made this up" doesn't make it any less terrifying.

If it makes you feel any better, I had the worst time sleeping last night, had to turn on all the lights to go to the bathroom (which is a whopping four feet from my bed), and was woken up by coyotes killing something at 5:00am.

And then he requested to follow me on Twitter.

Dude, I only made it to like the third or fourth video - the one where they're filming outside the house, and all the audio is overtaken by some loud buzz - before I bugged out. I have actually only seen like 2.8 seconds of actual Slenderman, and it was still enough to freak my shit out for like months. Someone should seriously snatch that up and make it into a movie, though they'd likely end up losing whatever it is about it that is so scary.

(I seriously had a hard time driving at night for the first week. What the hell.)

Slenderman...is on Twitter? That...might actually make me less afraid, heh.

I got my intro to it via TV Tropes (it was on a WMG entry for the Blair Witch Project; I went through a let's scare the crap out of ourselves phase back in the fall) and reading the high octane nightmare fuel pages for the various blogs was too much for me. A month later I started an archive binge into Marble Hornets and promptly peaced out after the one where he's standing on the porch looking in the window ( ... )
