I actually thought that that was what Myspace was about in the first place - the first pages I saw back a few months ago were about independent music. Thanks a bunch for the reminder. ^_^
The Geocities comparison is great since most of the people on there are idiots. The embedded music thing, yeah, that's annoying. There's an option to keep them from playing when the page loads, and thank god for that since every one has something like that one their page that takes five minutes to load and is pointless. LiveJournal at least has attention whores who put up content rather then just the silly asshats that collect friends.
Leslie? Yeah, Dylan is there, and I'm not sure about Scot.
Man, I don't even remember her last name, though apparently she got married. Glasses, blonde, I think played flute in band. Graduated a year early, or something of the sort. Maybe it was a Leslie?
MySpace screamed Geocities. In a few years, after MySpace dies down, there will be another one of them, and it will still encourage the use of nasty web design and annoying music by all except the ones who learned from the last fad. Collecting friends? I suppose you could call it Pokemon, too.
I may have tried to find you, but I really just gave up after getting tired of hearing the auto-loading jingles.
Seriously. I've gotten friend requests from people who don't post anything they just seem to add people apparently. They never message me, so I'm not sure what their deal is.
Oh, well. myspace.com/emo879 I don't really tie myself to anything on there, so I might be hard to find.
