"Forever"
In his head, Xander creates elaborate afterlife scenarios for Anya. She's in a warm, lush garden filled with delicious fruit and sweet-smelling flowers. She's swimming in a crisp, green sea of money. She's the most beautiful angel, bathed in ethereal light as she soars through the clouds.
But, sometimes, he inadvertently thinks about the lives she stole, the blood she spilled. The warm sun and magnificent wings disappear; she's screaming his name, consumed by hellfire.
Xander breathes deeply, tries to chase away this fear that haunts him constantly. He will see her again, someday. She can't be gone forever. Right?
