In the sanctuary of his bedroom, their bodies undulate in concert, surging towards a crescendo. She sighs his name; he bites his tongue, swallows his words. Xander's carelessness has made her fear love; if he speaks, Giles knows, she'll leave and never return, and he'll do anything to keep her.
