Well, she's lost all of her friend's support in the Prom and Angel(us) almost died on her the day before - because of the Mayor - AND she knows that she's leaving Sunnydale (and all things familiar along with it) in just a few hours. I'd say she's a bit angrier, rather than jaded. Though there's that, too.

Thing is, I'm cooking a little detour that'll make the Mayor's demon form seem tame by comparison. But really, he didn't seem that scary to me, and yes, I'm completely projecting on the characters. Bad writer, bad! :D

I'm a newbie... what IS this courting_sin verse? Is it your ficverse? Or is there some sort of AU canon I don't know about?

I'd like a link to an explanation, or just a summary. The sinverse fics I've read - this and another drabble - have been good. :) I just can't quite understand - did Buffy become a vampire? Fall in love with Angelus? Or what?

The mini version would be yes, Buffy fell in love with Angelus, and yes, she has very good reasons to do it. Basically, Courting Sin is about how much I must tweak the Jossverse (within reason) to make a B/Aus world believable.

Also, I have WAY too much fun at it. *g*
