Heart Shaped Box
Anya has worn the jewels of tsarinas, princesses and queens. Priceless gems that she wore and tossed aside as mere baubles. They might as well have been made of paste, they meant so little to her.
But Xander's ring she keeps in a box, tucked away safely in a drawer, cushioned by a thick layer of cotton. She takes it out and looks at it every day. It's tiny, compared to the stones she's worn in the past. But it's huge in it's meaning. It's love. A commitment. A promise.
And someday she'll be able to tell everyone about it.
