Three Unrelated Royalty Drabbles
These are just three unrelated drabbles. I wanted to spare the flists. LOL
Title: Munching on Paris
Character: Random Vampire
In the olden days, feasting on royals was a treat. They were well-fed and well-groomed. Their blood was rich and filling. They could afford the best meats, wines, and cheeses. They ate well, we ate well. As long as you stayed away from those bleeding Russians. And those inbred Hapsburgs.
But in the modern age, the new American royalty, it wasn’t even worth it. They were more plastic than skin. Their blood was malnourished and they tasted of nicotine and drugs. And most vampires would tell you, there was hardly enough blood in their emaciated bodies to fill a teacup.

Character: Cordelia
She had a title when she was only hours old. Her father took time from a business meeting to see her, crown her with the name “Princess.” It was fitting from one of the Kings of Sunnydale.
When she grew, the title no longer fit. She seized power and ruled over her school like a royal court. She had ladies in waiting and her own jester. Her subjects dubbed her “Queen.”
But then she fell from grace. Her throne was taken. Her power stripped. She was exiled. They gave her many more titles now, but none of them were wanted.

Title: Straight Flush
Characters: Spike/Dru
“The Queen of Hearts will be dead and gone. The King of Hearts will break and brood alone. The Jack of Hearts will run off with the Queen of Spades and her merry deck. And the Queen of Diamonds will have no home.” Drusilla said softly to herself as she spread the deck of cards on the table. She separated them out, turning the Queen of Hearts over. She pushed the King of Hearts far from the rest while coupling the Jack and Queen of Spades together to the side.
“What are you playin’ there then, Dru?” Spike asked.
“Solitaire.”
