Since he was going to be a Watcher, he wanted to learn all things English, and that included cricket. It was like baseball, except where it wasn't.
Not a batter but a batsman. Not a pitcher, but a bowler. They called the field, the pitch. Then there was the scoring. And if nine innings seemed long, what about a game that lasted days?
But he'd learn. He bought a ball and began to practice the strange straight arm tosses.
One day he managed a tricky pitch. A slayer from Delhi saw him and shouted,
"A googly! Super bowl there, Andrew!"
ETA: I'm not sure what a gooley is, but what I meant was a googly (Thanks redwolfoz!)
