“You bought a magic shop, I still can’t believe you did that.” Buffy glanced around the store in undisguised disbelief.
“Do you think it’s a bad enterprise for me?” Giles smiled faintly. “Keep in mind, I was quite good with spells in my younger days.” Not so bad these days either, he thought.
“Yeah, but magic?”
“The school blew up. Even though they are rebuilding, it’s been made clear I’ll not be offered my job back.” He shrugged. “That’s fine. I needed it while you were in school, but now that you’ve graduated, I don’t. This works for me.”
She smiled. “Good.”
