I have a friend that I work with (work, again; why does everything happen at work for me, haha?) who is possibly one of the strongest people i have ever met.

She's also one of the most chatty people I've ever met.  And, while she's not one to talk about her past as much as what's happening right this very second, we'd eventually spent so many breaks ( Read more... )

not to say that kate doesn't have her own brand of issues, but she really is an amazing person. she doesn't seem bitter at all with the hand life has dealt her.

actually, she sort of tells it like a story, like she's reading it from a book or something. i want to be able to do that one day. i want to look at my trials and failures as just another thing that made me who i am, and to be proud of the person i've become.

kate definitely helps me get through sometimes. when a customer is being particularly snappy or something, kate sometimes acts like a buffer for me. she smooths things out. and the way she acts, even when she isn't around, it sort of sticks to you after a while. you want to care a little more about your coworkers/customers than you did before; you're more sincere when you ask how their day has been.

she definitely inspires me :)
