I'm in China!

So, I'm in China, doing my fieldwork like a real phd student. Which is great and terrifying. China is intense. I've been here six days, spent three days on the train (in third class, without a seat, sitting on a stool and then the floor for a very long time. Actually had a great time, weirdly enough

Sounds like you're having a pretty good time. Three days on a stool on a train doesn't sound like good times, but it's funny what ends up being an adventure. The mall situation is weird.
