Christmas Dinner: Korean BBQ

It was very delicious, but I have my doubts about going again, especially by myself. Because it's like hotpot, except it's BBQ. You pick up the raw meat and stick it on the grill, wait for it to cook, and then eat. Talk about unsatisfying! You have to keep waiting and waiting for the food to cook, and it cooks so much slower than you take to eat it ( Read more... )

isn't shabusen like that? you shabu-shabu on the grill. have you been there? i forgot. it's on burrard? but i guess it's a little different because you can eat sushi and other things while the meat cooks/burns in front of you on the grill. oh one more thing to tell you, beef can be eaten rare because bacteria forms only on the top but not in the middle. unless it's hamburger, then you have to cook it thoroughly until there's no red at all. so at the korean bbq, you didn't have to eat the meat burnt. also, the meat is sliced very thinly for that purpose! so it cooks fast. now you can go and eat again next time with me. hyuck ( ... )
