Ace gritted his teeth and tried to ignore both the watchers and his crewmates.

King shot a sharp look at a large man trying to shove his way through the crowd. He wasn't in uniform, but three years as a pirate taught you to sniff out any marine.

It's fun headcanon! It would be nice to think that Ace had a close-knit crew and that they stayed close even after they were absorbed by the Whitebeard pirates.

After they joined Whitebeard they had a hard time getting used to using each others' real names rather than the Spades nicknames/numbers XD
