Argh, I am a terrible person for doing this when I'm so behind on filling requests, but this thing sorta popped up in my head this morning and it won't leave me alone and I don't think I'm awesome enough to write it right now. ... And hey, maybe someone else would think it's cool?
Ahem.

Brooke loses his voice, or, if you want to involve Devil-Fruit or some other kind of Grandline phenomenon, he loses the ability to make any sound. So, no singing, no jokes, no talking, and possibly, no musical exploits.

I am a terrible person.

It was unusual the Thousand Sunny to be silent before Brooke's arrival, with the constant thrum of Luffy's yells,Usopp's fanciful tales and the ever-present ruckus of Sanji and Zoro quarreling, but once Brooke came to the crew, the ship had more life than ever. It seemed that even their sleep was accompanied by lullabies, their battles filled with the cymbals of battle, their tears echoed by soft whispers of music that swept around them

A week later, the sound of musical instruments was non-stop, as if Brooke made up for his lack of a voice by sheer volume of sound alone. When a sour note was played, however, a scream of the violin, a shriek of the flute, a crash of the piano, nobody knew what to do

*sobs* This was too sad ;_; I'm not that attached to Brooke yet but it broke my heart anyway to see him suffer like that... And Zoro leaving. For some reason it was so tragic to see the first nakama leaving at the same time as the last. Uuuuu~~~
