Plot: In the kingdom where magic is an everyday thing,
the princess, who was born with a mutated muggle
gene that disallowed her to use magic, was given 30
days (give or take xD) to find a magician to become
her slave husband advisor.
Oh my gosh I am so excited about this. Quinrose is known for their freakin awesome plots (and somewhat buggy systems... But that's generally overlooked) with some well-known games like the Alice series, Engagement in the Desert, etc. Advertisement: Some of the best things about Quinrose is that
1.) Their games always come out on the computer first (and gets ported later to ps2/psp) and
2.) THEIR GAMES ARE ALL-AGES. ALL AGES FOR COMPUTERS!!!!!
Anyway so I've been downloading this game on bt... will I get banned for this? for two weeks already. (Two freaking weeks. Two freakin weeks.) Finally it finished downloading today and then I get hit by the inevitable wall of ILLEGAL INSTALLATION PWNS YOU.
So yeah. Been fiddling and spazzing all day. I was productive too! For those who care about my life efficiency. But anyway let's leave the mundane for now. Basically the problem was that the game was too smart for me kept on reading from the actual DVD player on my laptop as opposed to Daemon Tools (virtual drive) so it was like, "Insert disc you fool."
So I was like "WTH LET ME HAVE MY VIRTUAL ROMANCE T0T!!" Had to scourge the web searching all those simplified Chinese forums (my point of fail) to find out what exactly went wrong. Long story short I tried changing the name (which didn't work) then, at the point of desperation, (temporarily) removed my DVD rom from the comp. Or something. And finally,
It worked.
The background is yet another shameless advertising on my part for Quinrose, this time on their upcoming game Sweet Neverland.
Like the Alice series, this game will be set in a fairytale/classic. You can probably tell that the premise will be Peter Pan where the protagonist is Wendy. I'm kind of curious as to what kind of character she'll be since she appears to be a little more cheerful than the usual Quinrose strong/pissed/violent type of protagonists.
Anyway back to W&M. I'm just starting on the game (yeah I'm at the exposition. = = Don't judge me I'm excited about this okay.) I don't really know who to go after yet but ahh going to go read some reviews on them to see which guy is the worst to go after first.
P.S. Being the first game that they ever made, this is the only one without voices. However, Quinrose is going to launch a revamped version of this game in the fall. So if you speak/read Japanese, you can wait for that version instead. (The art in the new one's also a ton better than this. But I'll stick with whatever I got. xD)
