That's because I did the super smart thing and used the only brain cell I had left that day, and actually carefully read the list of items you were looking for...

It was social sciences. Not hard sciences, which is what I actually read. When I see someone soliciting for the sciences, I get all excited and forget to check what kind!

Sorry about that!

I doubt this falls into any of the categories, but I figured if there's a place for an unbiased opinion, you might be it: there really isn't a text out there that deals with street life. (If there were, I would've just recommended it, instead of writing all that -- let alone having drafts of three more follow-up posts on my laptop!)

Is there a market for that? How could it be marketed -- as research guide for writers or something? I'm certainly not a psychology or sociology major to create an expert's guide to either of those areas, though I do believe in citations whenever possible. But people keep replying with things like "this is useful, it should be available somewhere" and I have no earthly idea where that could be.

Any ideas, or is the best answer, "a home doesn't really exist outside the 'net, and besides, you need another project like you need another hole in your head"?

[Fffftt. More projects, more projects, say I!]

I'm not sure how it would work commercially without a degree or more personal drama than i saw you mention...

I went through enough personal drama, but I was doing my best to keep that out of the post. I wasn't certain it'd necessarily be a benefit to authors, at least not in this forum/format.
