Ziploc freezer storage bags. Wonderful things. Cut your bacon in half, right down the middle of the package (right angle to the direction of the bacon slices). Put half in a freezer bag and toss it in the freezer. It takes very little time to thaw back out and it won't spoil if you decide to not eat it for awhile
( ... )
Actually I discovered Jason actually remembered to freeze the rest of the bacon, so the stuff in the fridge is from the *last* batch. Oops. :P
The reason we got so many eggs was there was a 2 for 1 sale. We're trying to think of who we might unload the other half of them on. :P
Yeah, I think we keep Ziploc AND the disposable plate/cup/bowl/silverware guys in business. :P
I could use a good chili recipe, as up until now the only chili I've eaten was out of a can. Of course then I'd make him put the extra hot crap in his bowl separately, since I don't like it super super hot. :P (Hmm, bet the real stuff would taste better mixed in with mac&cheese than the canned crap too.)
And I have to figure out how the hell to alter the recipes/baking time before I can bake anything here. High altitude=baking weirdness. Methinks I need to see if any of the local nano'ers are good cooks.
I've been reading limyaael's rants (though I don't write fantasy), and your comments on there have consistently left me laughing.
Nano starts tomorrow, and having more nanoers in alliance is NEVER a bad thing, so I thought I'd friend you. If this strikes you as creepy and stalkerish, feel free in saying so. I won't mind. I promise.
