The release of The Mark of Athena is fast-approaching, and I am not ready. The prospect of reconvening with Percy and Annabeth is almost intimidating, because I just care about them so much, you know? I remember that the last time I spoke to you (ages ago!) you'd I think read only the first three...? BUT SO, YOU'VE FINISHED NOW, YES? I'm so keen to chat to you about them! When I was about halfway through the third book, I had a minor emotional breakdown about the loveliness and tragedy of Remus Lupin on LJ a few months ago (I just reread the post I made and IT'S JUST SO INADEQUATE OH MY GOODNESS SO MANY FEELINGS ahhh) xx

Before actually picking up the series I had sort of watched some of TPOA, so I suppose my love for Lupin started from there, but I totally forgot about him until he appeared in the book. And then I was like, Be. still. my. heart.
Imagine Lupin watching Harry fly for the first time, like seeing James again and thinking, 'shouldn't Peter be down here with me?' and at the same time, Sirius across these stands is watching the match, just wanting to reclaim the happiness of that life that existed before everything went ( ... )
