I wanted to add that I really loved Sai's comment "But I saw his hands; they were small. He was playing Black." So perfect that he would comment on what color Hikaru was playing.

Thank you! I've tried to do my best to develop the relationships, although I know the pace has been slower because of it. But I really want to develop Ogata and Sai in particular... they both have some significant flaws that need to be resolved. In Sai's case, this ties into Sai being able to remember his go games perfectly, but not his opponents. Sai can remember Hikaru's color, but not his face.

Sai needs to be more considerate of poor Ogata, doesn't he? But I think he's the type to be cheerfully unrepentant, and he knows he'll get away with it most of the time.

BURNING like that guy from PoT? ^^ I'm happy you enjoy it.

:nods: Well, part of Ogata's reserve is that Sai *is* an amnesiac: what if Sai has a family or significant other already? Now Ogata hasn't admitted this much to himself yet, but he doesn't want to risk getting himself hurt. The other part (which has been stated in the story already) is that Ogata doesn't want to risk his relationship with his talented go instructor.

Hehehe, well it won't play out quite like that (Waya won't be gossiping!) but one other major character will meet Sai before Hikaru learns about his return.

Thanks so much for the nice comments. And you should definitely go to an aquarium! (Where do you live? I've been to quite a number.)

waaaaaaaah, loved this chapter! You know, it never occurred to me that both Sai and Ogata have a love for fish. That part with the beluga in the tank made me so sad! And then Sai remembers Hikaru but doesn't remember him...! *cries* This was just gorgeous. I totally love excitable!Sai...! And OMG Ogata coming on to him...! So cute! ^_^

:nods: Well, it seemed to me that the mangaka did it on purpose - she drew more than a few parallels between Sai and Ogata in the series, as if to suggest they had some sort of connection or kinship.

It was a sad scene... there will be more, though, as Sai regains his memories. Poor guy.

We'll have to tell Ogata to behave. ^^ Or maybe we should tell Sai instead, to stop making those cute faces?

“Oh, that's a nice name.” Fujiwara pressed his nose against the tank, making cooing noises. “Kuwabara, you're a fat little cutie, aren't you? Yes you are!”

Ogata wondered if he'd ever be able to look at the old man with a straight face again, now that he had that lovely image burned into his mind.

I love this. So much. XD

This chapter was really enjoyable, and I liked the Waya scenes. He felt in-character - enough that your comments actually surprised me, because you did such a nice job.

Hehe, if I could draw I'd have to make a picture of that scene. Ogata is totally biting his lip so he doesn't burst out laughing. Next time Ogata passes Kuwabara at the Go Association, he's going to start grinning like a fool and Kuwabara will be completely puzzled.

I'm happy Waya worked for you. I was never particularly interested in him until I needed to research him for this chapter, but I appreciate him a lot more now.
