[I guess he's shot some zombies here and there. not killing them, but you can see an occasional rotted limb in the clearing.

he's sitting with a leg outstretched, posture almost relaxed, like someone just admiring the swampy wilderness. the snow under him is pretty thin, so he's probably been there awhile]
