What a beautiful ending.

I loved Arthur's silent worry and his need to have his Merlin back.
I also really like the bonding element between the two of them in this fic. Its one of my favourite things in Merlin fic. You did a great job with it in this story.

Even coming at this backwards I really liked it. Might have taken a tiny bit of nail biting out of it, but didn't spoil it. I really like the concept behind the spell. That was cool. You do evil so well. Protective Arthur is one of my things, you might have also noticed a similar liking for cloaks and hollowed out tree roots if you remember the lake scene in EOD (how could you forget the task of horror?). I had to smile when Arthur laid Merlin down on that cloak in the embrace of that tree the first time. When he brought him back after the spell had been lifted and they had kissed I had a bit of squee. Going to bed totally happy tonight.

:D I keep getting surprised that the spell or some form of it hadn't been done before, it just seemed so natural... I almost didn't post this because I thought the idea behind the spell was so cliche. Hehe, there's just something warm and comforting about them and cloaks and hollowed out tree roots... it's like Merlin cocoa, lol (and it wasn't a task of horror no matter what you may think :P~).

Now that you mention it that spell does seem like something that would have been done to death by now, but I have never seen it. Leave it to you to be original in places that it seems that everything has been covered. Merlin cocoa. Exactly! I love the sound and feel of that.
