Thank you for this post; I want to get my kids one of thesefor Christmas and I needed a Nintendo For Dummies guide giving a quick rundown of the games. Although most of these are too advanced for mine, I can't imagine letting my kids go through childhood without any Mario in their lives.

Mario Kart 7 and Mario 3D Land were the best all around games I played on it. Then there's Pokemon, Ghost Recon Shadow Wars, Bit.Trip Saga, and Monster Hunter 3U but those may not be for everybody.

I'm not saying these aren't all good games, but I'm a bit disappointed that by "best" they obviously meant "most popular". There's a pretty big difference, IMO.

The Nintendo 3DS is the system to own if you want remakes of all the games you played 10 years ago in crappy 3D that you can only see at a certain angle!

To be fair though and relating to Animal Crossing, it is nice to see a handheld get a game with features that aren't available on the proper console version. I love New Leaf.
