I really have no illusions that this is anything but "I can't believe it's not Mega Man!". It doesn't matter, because I love the Blue Bomber to bits (well, maybe not the Battle Network and Star Force lines) and if it has to be a shining middle finger to Capcom to get more, then so be it.

I do wish this was on handhelds, though. I seem to prefer platformers on them for some reason.

I can't even say that I'm a Mega Man fan. I played the hell out of MM3, but that was the last and only one I played.

I just find it kinda fascinating to see gamers embrace something that is so clearly an original game re-skinned. The community tends to be quick with the cries of "It's just a XXXX-clone!" But gamers buy these games anyway. They just usually go to more lengths to downplay the similarities.

Here, they've put it right at the forefront. Every article I've read emphasizes that it's a game from the person who created Mega Man. That's weird to me.
