i've been looking for my copy of defiance for three weeks and can't find it anywhere. "history abhors a paradox" has been haunting me and i loved the ending; probably my fave trilogy.
I haven't played through the whole Legacy of Kain series, but I loved Soul Reaver so much as a kid! I kind of sucked at it though and never finished it.
Was up all night playing Metal Gear Rising! LOVE IT! I don't think I'm anywhere near as skilled at it as I am with MGS2, but I am definitely enjoying it. I have to say though, I know Raiden has always been a tad unstable emotionally, but this is the first time that I'm actually kind of scared of him.
found my copy of defiance (it was just where i least expected and therefore should have checked first) and soul reaver 2 so that's what i'm doing the rest of the weekend.
also just remembered there was a blood omen 2 that i somehow never played and need to. i love how gothic and twisted (of course) bloody the whole blood omen mythology is. it's a nice counterpoint to the existential, philosophically focused soul reaver series.
Easily my favorite game on the ps1 until FFVI came out on it. I bought it for like 10 bucks and it was amazing. I loved that it wasn't scared to be cynical and dark when most games were still trying to save the princess.
