I recall a few interviews and articles talking about Sakamoto scaling back the characters, and due to the limitations of the 3DS hardware if it's still multi-platform crossover capable I doubt it will be as grandiose as Smash Bros. Brawl and Melee. Either way I would like them to take out TRIPPING or at least make it a option along with the items scaling with the screen size so I don't have to see everything going on besides me and the other players because that gets annoying as fuck.
As far as characters I want all the classic 12 back cause my Samus gotta take on my friend's Link and kick some Hyrulean ass! Everybody else can just step back for a day.
And I WANT MEGA MAN IN THERE DAMMIT! Capcom isn't averse to pimping out its characters everywhere, so why not plunk in the Blue Bomber? Besides, I've been wanting to pit Mega Man against Kirby since forever.
Or, y'know, a full-fledged Capcom vs. Nintendo would be good too.
I don't know about most people, but I always like speculations because while they aren't always true, occasionally you do get something ridiculous like Sonic and Snake in Brawl, which I doubt anybody realistically thought would happen. It's like Christmas Presents that you always want and pumps you up about playing through them that much more.
I tend to take rumors with a grain of salt unless they're actually confirmed though.

Ehh, dreaming of your fan favorites crossing over into games like these are fun, but you build up the inevitable disappointment when they aren't.
