I thought Ubisoft had the most solid conference, the only thing I did not like was the female host they had. It's like she had an immediate attitude with Tobuscus right from the hop. Maybe she was supposed to come off as annoyed with his antics, but... it just made me think she's a bitch :\ (I also didn't find her funny)
The Last of Us from Sony also pleased me, but apparently there's no release date yet. Hoping there'll be a demo at PAX Prime that I can try.
I did not like either one. Ubisofts previews/videos/gameplay spoton, everything else was bullshit. Jack I think was the best "host" but the videos/previews/gameplay demos was terrible. I'm not happy with any presentation that come out of today completely. The only reason I consider ubisoft's the best is because Watch Dogs came out of left field and was the one that got my attention.
absolutely want to keep an eye out for more on Watch Dogs. Looked pretty awesome.
Also, yeh, neither host was very good, but her bitchy behaviour and not-funny jokes really irked me. I don't even know how she got that job 'cause she didn't seem very good.
I think the G4 hosts were spot on about Sony- they gave each game enough attention that you could actually figure out what was going on.
Strangely, I'm not all that chuffed about the Quantic Dream game. Davis Cage seemed ecstatic to work with Ellen Page but she's never really intrigued me that much. (Although I'm amused she's doing a game, considering how everyone thought she was in Last of Us)
Of course not everybody will think of each conference the same way. Microsoft's can be summed up as trying to appeal to casual market, EA the FPS, and Sports market, Ubisoft's was the closest to hardcore, and Sony's was that they want everybody (as evidence by playstation mobile.)
Ubisoft really knocked their conference out of the park. They gave great, detailed peeks at their upcoming games. And Watch Dogs looks simply brilliant.
Sony's conference was a close second. I've always loved Jack, and they had some strong games to show.
I only caught a bit of EA's so I couldn't fully judge. Microsoft's was sad. Just very sad.

Here's hoping Nintendo brings it tomorrow!
