Basically a judge said, "Microsoft violated shit and you shouldn't sell the xbox in the USA anymore" and then it will go up to Obama who will then say, "It can sell" or "Nope...all inventory must go."
I am a die hard conservative, bordering on being a libertarian. I had intended to sit this election cycle out entirely in protest to the two horrible parties, but if if it comes down to it, and President Obama saves the X-Box, I will have no choice but to vote for him. It would be the first time and one of the only times in my life to vote left of center, but this would also be the first time a President's actions would affect me so directly. Likewise, if Romney made it a campaign promise, I'd bite the bullet.
I'd be surprised if Obama killed the Xbox before the election, though. Young voters are his core support; he's not going to want to tick them off so close to Nov. 6 - the date on which Halo 4 will be released as the nation decides who serves the next term. - But he could kill it after the election; nothing to lose, then...
I'm in 2 minds about this: It sucks if you live in the USA BUT the Judge obviously thinks they infringed Motorola's intellectual property so badly that this needs to happen. What about Motorola? I think Microsoft should have sorted it before they released the Xbox 360. This just sounds like poor planning on their part. To me, having it effect gamers is just a poor excuse.
Although I live in New Zealand so this probably won't affect me.
