For those of you don't appreciate Dr. Will

Aug 30, 2013 09:41

alec_peterspal posted this on twitter. It's an hour long so you can def skim but WILL IS GOLD. His 24 hour fast was the original Dan funeral.

Half-man half-amazing.

Everything he says in the video is quotable. He's just legendary in every capacity.

How does a person not love Dr. Will? I mean maybe my bias is showing because his was the first season I ever watched live, and he was my first introduction to how amazing a game could be played by manipulating people in the right way, but I adore him, and no one has yet to live up to him. Dan has come close.

lots of people here have said how he wasn't that great and he was overrated. He was honestly the blueprint for how this game should/can be played. It's like--respect your forefathers.

He played the absolute perfect game in the first season of the show (as it pretty much) currently exists. All true social games to follow, that involve actually playing the game and not just floating around on niceness, have to take from his example.

Now with the introduction of the PoV, things were changed up and a more physical game could be played, but as he showed in returning in All Stars, his method of the game still worked. He basically picked and secured Boogie as the winner. (I can hate it...and I do...but it's still true.)

Like, love him or hate him, his blue print for how to manipulate and work this game....works! If nothing else, Dan playing in a very similar manner in seasons 10 and 14, shows how effective it is.

idk, nothing against will but when I watched the game I appreciated Nicole's game a little more, if there was a jury house I'm sure she would have won. bb2 will was fine as hell though.

there was no finesse in her game though. It was clunky like Ellen's. Yeah she played but it wasn't fun to watch.

I thought she and Will both played great games, to be honest. But I think Will still would have won.

Allstars was the second season of BB I had seen, so I didn't know Will from his original season then. I fell in love with this guy! He was deliciously villainous, but in a smart and game-related way. Nothing like the idiots in the house now. I went back and watched season two and still thought he was great. Although I couldn't stand Shannon (I think that was her name).

I tried to go back and rewatch season 2 and it does nooooooot hold up well at all but Will is classic the whole way through.

The introduction of veto was so clutch. Before the HOH would announce nominations and it was just a long, drawn out week until the inevitable happened.
