Sims 2 uniforms (forevermore, jesus) and a Sims 3 find
It has taken me so long to redo these because I am LAZY and I kept giving up after some failed attempts. Now I'm wondering if anyone actually plays sims 2 anymore, but nevertheless! I finally redid the Star Trek uniforms I posted with my sims ages ago ( you can download the characters there.) Now this is all thanks tonectarousness still for making the shirts way back there in the first place; I'm just expanding on that first design. Without them, I'd have never been able to do anything with these puppies.
So what are the changes? New pants and boots, silver stripes to indicate rank (yay I figured it out), recolored gold and red uniforms, added blue and gold female dress uniforms to look like Uhura's, and the coolest of them all, female pants uniforms.
This all started by the fail of my first uniforms. Someone called them David Bowie pants, and they were absolutely right. The boots didn't help the criminally sexual pants.
So the first thing I did was find a new mesh, and let me tell you, it was DIFFICULT. Finally I found the perfect material for pants and even though the boots are larger than the normal regulation boots, they're no bigger than Kirk's big honkin' delta vega boots or Cupcake's boots. Then I added the rank stripes, and then I got nitpicky and made the command shirts more yellow and the red shirts redder, and this is the final product.
INFINITE difference. Now they look even more genuine.
Next I decided to brighten Uhura's red dress, but then I realized that the other ladies would want the same uniform that Uhura does, so I made blue and gold dresses, also making the gold more yellow.
(fun fact: The blonde is Christine Chapel. Also, wouldn't some Chapel/Spock angst be marvelous in the next movie? Chapel loving Spock but he's with Uhura? :O

And finally, I realized that the movie has women wearing pants uniforms, so why aren't my sims? Technically, I could have just recolored the shirts, but I'd rather have a whole outfit instead of more parts and I liked the pants and boots on these.
Yay progressiveness! And they still look hot!

I made enough rank designations for the main characters and none for the new women pants uniform, so if you need a uniform with a specific rank, tell me and I'll easily slap some stripes on for you. These should all work perfectly since I tested all with no custom content added. The shirts and the male uniforms have the mesh included, and the skirts are recolored from a base game mesh.

And for those of us more interested in the sims 3 lately (raises hand) I share with you a download that I found; a hack which adds a new CAS slider to make pointed ears. This was TOTALLY what they were missing that the Sims 2 had. So now you can make Vulcan ears in the sims 3, yay! And didn't someone here or elsewhere make the uniform pattern? *big doe eyes*
